Postdoctoral researcher and Ph.D. student positions are available in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at The George Washington University under the supervision of Dr. Yun Shen.
The postdoc researcher can start anytime from now. This position requires a Ph.D. degree (or equivalent) in microbiology, environmental engineering, biology, chemical engineering, public health, or a related field. The candidates must be a first author on at least 1-2 publications. Any prior experience in environmental microbiology, sequencing, and bioinformatics analyses will be greatly valued and encouraged to apply.
The Ph.D. students would be enrolled in the Fall semester of 2023. Prospective highly motivated students with a B.S. or M.S. degree in Environmental Engineering, Microbiology, Bioengineering, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Environmental Science, and other related fields are encouraged to apply.
Candidates with research experiences in environmental microbiology, molecular biology, water treatment, aerosol science, or material science will be preferred. The candidate should also have good communication skills and be capable of working with a highly interdisciplinary and collaborative team.
